So…You Can Help Others But Not So Great At Helping Yourself? No problem!

Happy New Year from the Purposely Famous Team and I!

“I hope that in this year to come, YOU MAKE MISTAKES…”

Now hold on, before you leave me and think, “Karin, how rude!” I promise you that making mistakes is MUCH better than it seems.

Hello, guilt-free New Year’s resolutions in 2018…

Good-bye stress from failing to keep promises to yourself.

If you can flip your view that making mistakes is not a bad thing but an intuitive gift that shows you how to reach a higher level…

At least…
-You put the intention out there
-You made a decision to try
-You grew as a person and will do better next time
-You accomplished way more than what most other people probably do (You took action which is better than no action!)

And if you brush off the dirt and keep going, you WILL reach your goals…although sometimes in different ways than you had expected.

So many mistakes from the “misfits, the crazy ones, and round pegs in square holes” have turned out to become legacies that change the world…such as shown here in one of my favorite videos here (and yes, it’s a commercial from Apple!)

Here’s an extra dose of inspiration as you ring in the New Year with the full quote from Neil Gaiman below and a reminder to be kind to yourself when you are super awesome at helping others, but sometimes not so great at helping yourself (I know I’m not the only one…right?!).

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes… Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing the world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.” – Neil Gaiman

    1. You are very welcome, Jamey! We all have blind spots, it’s unavoidable, and beautiful as we catch up to be able to coach ourselves one day, lol. Happy New Year – Have a good one 🙂
